Terms of use and membership
1. What you are subscribing to
EX-LIBRIS provides personal access to the available digital catalog, comprising public-domain works in its own translations, with reading and study tools. Membership is not per book, does not transfer ownership of the digital editions and does not include physical copies, which publishers sell separately. New works may be added progressively; there is no promise that all translations in the project are already available.
2. Monthly plan
The Complete Catalog plan costs US$15 per month, in US dollars, with no minimum commitment. Payment is by card through Stripe, with automatic monthly renewal until cancellation.
The beginning and end of the period are shown in the member area. One month runs to the following calendar month, adjusting the day when necessary; it is not a fixed 30-day package. For card payments, any price change will be communicated in advance, before it applies to a renewal, with the option to cancel.
3. Confirmation of the subscription
Subscribing requires an authenticated account, review of the plan summary, express acceptance of these terms and the Cancellation and Refund Policy, acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy and authorization of recurring monthly card payments through Stripe. Acceptance boxes are not preselected. Access depends on financial confirmation by the provider; opening or submitting a checkout does not by itself prove payment. The accepted version of the conditions and date of acceptance are recorded.
4. Account and tools
Access uses a personal Google account, without a separate EX-LIBRIS password. Registration asks for a full name to identify the account. The catalog is shared; study records belong to each member’s account. Do not share access or use automation to resell, extract content in bulk or harm the service.
The plan provides chat without a daily question limit. The six Studio tools allow up to four generations per tool, per book, per day, with independent counters. Each presentation contains no more than six slides. Deleting a material does not restore a completed generation. Audio, video and infographic generation are not included. The chat microphone transcribes questions; it does not produce audiobooks.
5. Content generated by artificial intelligence
Answers, summaries and illustrations may contain inaccuracies. Check the references in the edition. Editorial illustrations are symbolic, not historical records. The tools support reading and do not replace professional advice or critical analysis. This qualification does not exclude statutory rights relating to the quality or provision of the service.
6. Activation of access
EX-LIBRIS uses Stripe for card payments, protected sign-in and account-linked study records. Financial confirmation is required to activate access.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation of future renewals
Card subscriptions renew monthly through Stripe until canceled. Canceling future renewals is separate from requesting a refund for a completed payment. Refunds follow the conditions and statutory rights described below.
You may request cancellation at any time through the member area, without a cancellation penalty. After confirmation, automatic renewal will be disabled and access will remain available until the end of the paid period shown in your account. Canceling renewal does not automatically delete your account.
The current paid period
For ordinary cancellation, outside the refund circumstances provided by law, there is no prorated refund for the remaining days of the paid period: access continues until that period ends. This rule does not authorize future charges after confirmed cancellation and does not remove the right to dispute improper charges.
Right of withdrawal and other guarantees
For distance contracts, the right of withdrawal under Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code and repayment of amounts, where applicable, are preserved. The statutory period is seven days from signing or receipt of the product or service, as applicable under the law. The digital nature of access, its use and acceptance of the terms do not constitute an automatic waiver of this right.
Other statutory rights to repayment, correction or redress are also preserved, including in cases of improper charges or failure in service provision. To request a review, use the contact form, providing the account email and the charge reference, if available. Do not send a password, full card number or security code. Review and financial processing must follow the provider’s procedures and the law, without requiring any waiver of rights.

Privacy Policy
Account details
For authentication, EX-LIBRIS uses the account identifier supplied by Google, the email address and the name. You confirm your full name as the account name. We do not request the provider’s password or access to your inbox, contacts or files. An email address alone is not used to merge accounts from different providers.
Billing details
Tax identification, address and other details needed for payment are requested at checkout according to the provider’s requirements and legal obligations. Stripe processes payments and receives the information required for billing and fraud prevention. The full card number and security code are received by Stripe and are not stored by EX-LIBRIS.
Reading, study and security
Progress, notes and history support the reading experience. AI generation may send the question, relevant passages from the work and necessary context to the services the project uses on Cloudflare. The microphone must only be activated by the reader to transcribe a question. Turnstile uses technical signals from the device and connection to reduce abuse; its verification does not replace authentication.
Study records are linked to the reader’s account and synchronized through Cloudflare infrastructure. The browser also stores preferences and local data for the reading experience. To request access, correction or deletion of information, use the privacy channel below; the team will explain the retention conditions applicable to the request.
Purposes, rights and contact
In the contact form, we use your name, email address, subject and message to handle your request. Phone number and attachment are optional. Cloudflare processes security verification, temporary storage and delivery to the team’s support email hosted on Gmail. You are not subscribed to advertising. Messages and attachments in the technical queue are deleted after 30 days; correspondence received by the team is retained for as long as necessary for support and applicable obligations. A protected technical connection identifier is used to limit abuse without recording the IP address as text in that queue. Do not send passwords, personal documents or full card details.
Data needed for the account and membership are used to provide the service, maintain security and comply with applicable legal obligations. Contractual acceptance does not automatically authorize advertising or uses incompatible with these purposes. There is no automatic enrollment in marketing campaigns.
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction and other applicable rights, including deletion where appropriate, through the privacy and data form. Data subject to retention obligations may be handled differently, which must be explained to the data subject. Reference: Brazilian General Personal Data Protection Law.
